
The US Coast Guard has seized nearly 30,000 pounds of cocaine and more than $475 million worth of cannabisunloaded it Thursday at the Miami Beach, Florida base.
The drugs, by an international crew aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Legare have been found in international waters. According to a US Coast Guard, the operation was carried out jointly by the US Coast Guard, the US Navy, the Dutch Caribbean Coast Guard and the Royal Netherlands Navy to seize drugs from suspected cartels press release.

Another multi-agency effort involved a two-year undercover drug investigation that led to the arrests of 85 people, including six leaders of a drug smuggling ring, in mid-August, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
