What happens when these measures come into force?
One of the measures would allow veterans legally possess and use marijuana under federal law, as recommended by physicians under state law. VA doctors are also likely to make such recommendations for the first time.

“However, many veterans continue to be denied access to home loans based on proceeds from state-legalized cannabis activities,” the amendment reads specified.
