
Tesla Inc TSLA chairman Elon Musk responded to a Twitter poll by the Ukrainian president on Monday Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
What happened: Musk said to Zelenskyy: “I still strongly support Ukraine, but I am convinced that a massive escalation of the war will cause great damage to Ukraine and possibly the world.”
The entrepreneur’s comments came in response to a poll by Zelenskyy, which asked his 6.6 million followers whether they like a Musk who supports Ukraine or one who supports Russia.

82 percent of the 1.5 million votes were cast in favor of a Musk supporting Ukraine.

Why it matters: In a separate Twitter poll, Musk asked his 107 million Twitter followers if that was the case agreed with him four thoughts on how the conflict between russia and ukraine will eventually find a peaceful solution.
In that poll, 61.5% of the 2.04 million respondents voted “no” to the four points made by Musk, while 38.5% voted “yes.”
The four points included repeating elections in the annexed regions under UN supervision, Crimea’s status as part of Russia and ensuring the peninsula’s water supply. Musk also mentioned that Ukraine remains neutral as one of his points.
Chess grandmaster and Russian dissident on Monday Gary Kasparov slammed Musk on Twitter, calling his poll a “moral idiocy” and a “repetition of Kremlin propaganda.”
Musk, in turn, responded with the words SpaceXwhich he heads, gave Starlink terminals to Ukraine and lost $80 million in the process while putting the company and himself at “serious risk of a Russian cyberattack.”
