Elon Musk Says ‘Extremely Concerning’ As Brands Pull Ads – Press Release

Tesla Inc TSLA chairman Elon Musk Responding to news on Wednesday was that major advertisers have partially withdrawn marketing campaigns Twitter Inc TWTR Platform due to child pornography concerns.

What happened: “Extremely concerning,” Musk said on Twitter in response to an article published by Reuters.

Some of the big advertisers who are said to have suspended campaigns or removed ads include: Mazda, dyson and PBS kids.

Why it matters: Walt Disney Co DIS and Coca Cola Co. KO and a children’s hospital were some of the 30 advertisers who appeared on Twitter profiles that linked to “exploitative material,” according to Reuters.

The accounts were identified during research into child sexual abuse online ghost dataa cybersecurity group, according to Reuters.
