
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy On Wednesday, world leaders called for United Nations General Assembly unite against Wladimir Putinwar in Ukraine.
What happened: In his much-anticipated fiery video address to the UN, Zelenskyy called on member states to strip Moscow of its veto power in the UN Security Council, barring the imposition of sanctions.

“As long as the aggressor is involved in decision-making in the international organizations, he must be isolated from them – at least until the aggression continues. reject the right to vote. Revoke delegation rights. Remove the veto — if it’s a member of the UN Security Council. To punish the aggressor within the institutions,” said the Ukrainian president.
“A crime has been committed against Ukraine and we demand punishment,” he added.
Zelenskyi also described Putin as a lone figure on the world stage. “Ukraine wants peace. Europe wants peace. The world wants peace. And we saw who is the only one who wants war,” he said.
He also addressed his country’s desire for “fair punishment” for a crime Russia had committed against it. “Punishment for the crime of aggression. Punishment for violation of borders and territorial integrity. Punishment that must be in effect until the internationally recognized border is restored.”
Meanwhile US President Joe Biden also condemned Putin’s war and the Kremlin’s nuclear threat to the West during his speech to the UNGA. “A nuclear war cannot be won and must never be fought,” Biden said, while denouncing Russia for “blatantly” violating “the fundamental principles of the United Nations Charter.”
