In 1848 they tried to abolish the bureaucratic state and confiscate the means of production. In 2022, a national coalition of craft cannabis seeks a closer goal within US capitalism: carve a place in the regulations for small cannabis artisans in one of the most dynamic sectors in the world.
For this purpose, on 20 US National Craft Cannabis Coalition (NCCC).
Differentiated Markets
That NCCC was formed to advance state and federal policies that support small-scale cannabis producers and the development of a differentiated market for regulated, small-batch, craft cannabis products.
The Coalition brings together cannabis trade associations, advocacy groups and cooperatives across the country – including Origins Council (CA), farms inc (OR), Washington Sun & Craft Growers Association (WA), Vermont Growers Association (VT), Maine Craft Cannabis Association (Me and Farm Bug Co-op (MA).
“Across the United States, thousands of small-scale cannabis growers and producers have been licensed to operate under federally legal cannabis frameworks, and many others are attempting to enter the legal market,” he said Amanda Metzler, President of FARMS Inc., Oregon’s Cannabis Farm Advocates. “These growers operate on a much smaller scale than traditional agriculture, with many cultivating less than a hectare in total. With federal legalization approaching, it is critical that artisanal cannabis producers organize across state lines to ensure federal policies provide a level playing field for small and independent businesses.”
