
A report from Important stories says teachers at Moscow regional schools in Russia have been asked to donate 3,000 rubles each, or about $50 Russian Soldiers fighting in Ukraine.
The teachers each received a flyers received from Important Stories to apply for a donation Russian Troops.
“That’s what we were told there [at the front]they don’t have pants and socks,” the outlet’s teacher said.
“It was obvious that our Headmistress was uncomfortable talking about it. She said she needed to say this and understand our concerns, but we also need to understand the situation: ‘These are our citizens, our soldiers,'” added the teacher.
The flyer reads: “Please withhold funds of _____ from my salary for September 2022 and transfer them to the ‘Cultural Development of Podolsk Youth’ Charitable Foundation for the Support of Soldiers of the Russian Federation participating in a special military operation in Ukraine.”

According to Important Stories, teachers aren’t sure what their money is being spent on.
The media outlet reports that 33 Russian regions have already pledged 4.8 billion rubles ($80.2 million).
Last week, the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine reclaimed around 1,500 square miles of Ukraine from Russia.
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine nears the seven-month mark. Indeed, President Vladimir Putin Has said that he was “in no hurry” to end military operations in Ukraine and threatened to step up attacks on civilian targets.
Ukrainian troops are continuing their counter-offensive in the north-eastern region after retaking areas from Russia in recent days.
Putin said on Friday that Ukrainian counter-offensives would not affect Russia’s military plans.
