Tyson 2.0the cannabis company founded by the former heavyweight champion mike tysonpartnered with a pro wrestler earlier this year Rico flair.
Tyson 2.0 bought the Ric Flair Drip and the duo are now working together to scale the brand.
Tyson 2.0 has already expanded to 24 states and Canada in the past year, thanks in part to its co-founder and president Chad Bronstein.
Tyson 2.0 is releasing and expanding its products under the merged brand, fusing Flair’s likeness to flowers, vape cartridges, candy, pre-rolls, flower jars and flowers themselves, while also introducing edibles “WOOOOO GUM” and “Champion cannabis.”
“Can someone in the crowd pass me a joint?” Tyson said to the hundreds of people who attended the Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference on Tuesday in Chicago. “Well that’s what I’m talking about” Tyson thanked one person for giving him a joint.
Flair and Tyson smoked several joints on stage while discussing the benefits of cannabis over drugs like Xanax.
“I got into the industry through bad luck,” Flair explained, “I knew Mike [Tyson] since the 1980s. Chad approached me about it, my old school mindset told me I didn’t want anything to do with cannabis, but little did I know that the cannabis world was taking over.”
Flair said cannabis has replaced Xanax as a cure for pain for him since the retired wrestler used to wrestle up to 454 times a year.
“When that came along, it completely erased my previous addiction,” Flair said.
