
rap musician Snoop Dogg shared an incident from 1994 Queen Elizabeth the second came to his defense and saved him from being deported from the UK.
What happened: Dogg made the reveal in a conversation he shared on his Instagram profile. He said he was touring the UK while facing murder charges.
The artist tells DJ Whoo Kid that the Queen defended him despite a tabloid headline ‘Kick This Evil Bastard Out’.
He also credited Prince Harry and William with influencing their grandmother to side with him.
“You think they weren’t there and said, ‘Grandma, please let him in, grandma. He’s fine. We love his music.'”
Why it matters: Dogg was charged with first-degree murder Philip Woldemariama rival gang member in 1993, according to a report by The Hollywood Reporter.
Queen Elizabeth the second died on September 8 at the age of 96. She was then the longest reigning monarch in British history Queen Victoria.
Following the death of the British monarch, Dogg said on Instagram: “RIP to the Queen.”
