The results were based on a Strategic Vision survey of 200,000 new car owners on their willingness to consider buying car brands and their views on the quality of those brands. The survey included 45 car brands, with Apple making the cut for the first time.
Apple Car is well received by car owners: About 26% of respondents said they would definitely buy an Apple-branded vehicle in the future. Only Toyota Corporation TM and Honda Motor Company HMC had better results than Apple, with the number of respondents saying they would consider these brands at 38% and 32%, respectively.
Ford Motor Company f and Tesla, Inc. TSLA had values of 21% and 20%, respectively.
“What should worry others is that Apple generates more love than any other auto company, twice as much as powerful brands like Honda, Toyota and Tesla,” he said Alexander EdwardsPresident of Strategic Vision.
The combined score, which takes into account willingness to buy and perceived quality, was highest for Apple.

Ultimately, what Apple offers in terms of design, powertrain, product and other key features would determine car owners’ interest, the company said.
“However, their brand awareness and reputation provide an impressive platform that automakers should adapt to,” said Edwards.
