IEGreen Tea published results on their official website suggesting that a single serving of pre-brewed liquid IE Green Tea provides more antioxidants than the similar serving size of powdered matcha green tea. The results compared IE green tea to matcha green tea and other popular green teas currently sold on the market. It was found that IE Green Tea not only outperformed the other teas in the amount of antioxidants per serving, but also in other essential nutrients such as EGCG, which provide significant health benefits with regular use.

All sorts of green teas come from the plant Camellia Sinensis. The difference between each variety is due to the age of the tea leaves at the time of harvest and the process used to dry and grind the leaves to make the tea. Matcha green tea is made by drying and grinding the whole young leaves of the Camellia Sinensis plant. IE Green Tea is also made in the same way. However, unlike Matcha tea, the leaves used to make IE Green Tea are not dried. This helps retain even more of the EGCG and antioxidants naturally present in the leaves. Immediately after harvesting, the fresh tea leaves are roasted to improve their taste and then brewed with pure spring water. The entire process is carefully designed and monitored to ensure maximum nutritional value is retained in the final product.
Each batch of IE Green Tea is tested to ensure each serving contains 300mg of Catechin and 111mg of EGCG, the key antioxidants found in green tea. In comparison to this one single serving Matcha green tea contains 168 mg catechin and 98 mg EGCG. This is still significantly higher than other average green tea brands, which have the highest catechin levels at just 71mg. Nonetheless, IE Green Tea organic green tea contains nearly twice the antioxidants of matcha green tea.
