What the Most Smitten of Kittens Are Getting For Valentine’s Day

Operation Kindness Offers Unique Gifts to Benefit Homeless Animals

Dallas, 02/02/2016 /SubmitPressRelease123/

There are many ways to share the love this Valentine’s Day, but very few gifts last longer than the holiday. This year Operation Kindness is offering a unique selection of gifts from its Kindness Katalog to show the special someone in your life how much you care, while saving the lives of homeless animals.

From life-saving surgeries to warm, cozy beds for homeless animals, there are delightful gifts at all price points. You can find a gift that gives back for everyone in your life – whether shopping for your romantic interest or your grandmother. One hundred percent of the proceeds will directly benefit the homeless animals at Operation Kindness, the original and largest no-kill animal shelter in North Texas.

“Flowers wilt and boxes of chocolate quickly break our New Year’s resolutions, but a gift from the Kindness Katalog will continue to give even after the holiday has passed,” says Operation Kindness CEO Jim Hanophy. “It is through gifts like these that we have saved the lives of more than 85,000 homeless since we opened in 1976.”

Kindness Katalog gifts include:

·       E-Cards – Sending an e-card is an easy way to reach out to Valentines near and far. With a donation of $15 or more, you can select a one-of-a-kind Valentine’s design to send a message to your sweetheart.

·       Pet Bed – For a homeless animal, a warm and comfy bed is often their first touch of kindness. For $25, this gift helps ensure every animal has a soft, cozy surface to sleep on every day.

·       Life-saving heartworm treatment for two dogs – Save two warm, loving hearts by providing medical treatment for two dogs suffering from heartworms, a preventable but deadly disease if left untreated, with a $500 donation.
