Poorly ventilated work areas, high heat temperatures, and faulty and unsafe equipment have prompted workers to walk off the job in protest. These types of conditions are the perfect recipe for disaster. Conditions like this can lead to preventable workplace accidents that could result in death, says Eric Grover, a Bay Area employment lawyer. All hard-working employees deserve to work in a space where their health is not put in jeopardy every day they report to work.

As many as three dozen workers at a warehouse in Mira Loma walked off the job Wednesday to protest what they called poor working conditions.
A spokeswoman for a group that is supporting the workers said they were suffering from poorly ventilated workspaces, high heat, and faulty and unsafe equipment.
