Recording media brand “TDK Life on Record” is exclusively licensed by Imation Corp. The first Blu-ray media of recordable double layer – BD-R DL and the first Blu-ray 6x recordable were put up for sale in the US retail market. A range of storage accessories including disc cleaning for Blu-ray from the TDK Life of Record series will also be launched by Imation Corp soon. This is useful in maintenance and protection of the new format media content which is high-definition.
Digital memories created by consumers in high definition will be effectively relived by the Blu-ray media, according to the Image Corp’s brand TDK Life of Record’s global brand director, Jean-Paul Eekhout.
He went on to say that in the field of both accessories/Unique technology and recordable media Blu-ray 6x, the sought after pioneer of Blu-ray continues to be the TDK Life on Record brand.
The capacity of the Blu-ray media to handle high definition television and movie content is extremely high. In fact, it can handle up to 50GB on discs of double layer and up to 25 GB on single layer discs. This is at least ten times more than the standard media of DVD.
With the help of Blu-ray discs from TDK, consumers can now store high definition digital data for years. This is made possible with features like hard coating technology called Durabis 2. With the help of this technology, the disc is protected effectively from fingerprints, scratches and dust.
Enhanced longevity and durability is also provided to the disc against light exposure breakdown with the incorporation of a recording structure of inorganic double layer metal.
