Telestream has introduced a new Drive-in that allows disc free DVD storage on a Mac. Digital media enthusiasts have never had it so good. They have a new product announced by Telestream, which is the provider of Flip4Mac Windows media Components for Quick Time. Now, Mac users can create and store images of digital videodisc (DVD) on their personal hardware drives using the newly launched software application called Drive-in.
Home theatre enthusiasts and travelers can have easy access to their personal DVD movie collections to play on laptops, desktop computers and home entertainment systems using the Drive-in software application. This first of its kind software application has been launched on September 5th 2008. Telestream is planning to release a Windows version of the Drive-in in the near future.
The benefits of using the Drive-in are numerous. It is more advantageous than the conventional physical DVD storage. The user gets a better experience when searching, browsing and accessing movies using the Drive-in software application. The misplacement or damage to physical disc remains eliminated. The Drive –in allows home theatre enthusiasts to consolidate their entire collection of movies into one single location that offers security and easy retrieval of any movie for their viewing. For those who travel, the drive-in helps save battery life as the need to search and spin an optical disc is done away with. Users can view several movies on their laptops suing a single laptop battery.
CEO of Telestream says that users never had it so good, with the introduction of the Drive-in users will have trouble free playback experience on their personal computers and laptops.
