Following confirmation that Nevada doctors and nurses played a significant role in the exposure and outbreak of Hepatitis C, a medical malpractice suit was filed against the physicians by the Board of Medical Examiners in Nevada.
Americans were alerted by the news specialists from JNF medical malpractice and medical injury lawyers from San Francisco regarding the Nevada Hepatitis C outbreak which is one of the largest in the state yet. The United States history has not seen a larger patient notification as with the current outbreak.
This is the third time a complaint was issued for medical malpractice with the Endoscopy Center of Southern Nevada by the Board of Medical Examiners in Nevada. At least four allegations of sub standard care provided to patients at the endoscopy center were made against the gastroenterologist from Las Vegas, Dr. Clifford Carrol.
Patients were infected with the life threatening Hepatitis C virus due to negligent care and lack of proper treatment provided by Dr. Carrol. Complaints have been filed against Dr. Eladio Carrera and Dr. Dipak Desai, majority owners of this clinic. Following the ongoing investigations against them, their license has been suspended. According to claims by patients and the medical board, transmission and exposure of the Hepatitis C virus is entirely due to the health care provider’s negligence.
Details of the ongoing investigation being conducted by the Board of Medical Examiners in Nevada, has been revealed to the public by attorneys dealing with medical injuries in Bay Area.
Affected patients have been advised to contact a medical injury lawyer who is a specialist in medical malpractice to obtain compensation from clinics or hospitals.
