On June 9, 2022, Sampo announced a share buyback program of up to a maximum of EUR 1 billion in accordance with Market Abuse Regulation (EU) 596/2014 (MAR) and Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2016/1052. The program, which started on June 10, 2022, is based on the authorization granted by Sampo’s annual general meeting on May 18, 2022.
Following the disclosed transactions, the Company owns a total of 13,592,145 Sampo A shares, representing 2.55 percent of Sampo plc’s total number of shares.
