The Board of Directors has unanimously voted to appoint Alan Brookes, currently COO of Arcadis, as the next CEO and Chairman of the Board and will propose his appointment to Arcadis shareholders at the Annual General Meeting in May 2023.
Peter joined Arcadis in 2017 as CEO and Chairman of the Board. He successfully led the company in achieving its strategic 2020 goals, strengthening its balance sheet, resolving legacy issues, embedding a people-first culture across the business and improving financial performance. As part of the 2023 “Maximizing Impact” business strategy, he led the company to become an industry leader in providing sustainable solutions to customers, a digital pioneer. In addition, Peter repositioned the company for accelerated growth and scaling as evidenced by the organizational transition into Global Business Areas (GBAs) and the recently announced acquisitions of IBI Group, DPS Group and Giftge Consult. Today, Arcadis is in a strong position for future profitable growth and a smooth integration of recent acquisitions.
