In November 2020, Yatsen completed its IPO and sold 58.75 million ADS at $10.50 per ADS.

On August 26, 2021, Yatsen announced during an analyst call in Q2 2021 that its Perfect Diary cosmetics line had deteriorated, necessitating a “rebalancing” of the company.

On the news, Yatsen stock fell $1.03, or 17.6%, to close at $4.81 per ADS on August 26, 2021, hurting investors.

Then, on November 17, 2021, Yatsen released its financial results for the third quarter of 2021, which revealed a significant decrease in the gross sales of the company’s cosmetics brands.
