The gaming industry is bigger than the music and film industries combined. Until the discovery of NFTs, users could not own their items in-game or trade them on a secondary market. Thus, once the player lost interest, all in-game purchases were worthless. NFTs have opened up a whole new world of possibilities in gaming. Users can now resell or rent their in-game items to other players for a fee. And that’s exactly what PAWSOME 3D, a newly released game, offers along with a fun gaming experience.
Pawsome is a 3D animated Metaverse game based on the Qi blockchain (pronounced Chie) with the native currency QIE. Pawsome allows users to mint 10,000 unique first-generation dogs on the blockchain, each with unique traits. Users can increase these attributes by purchasing items from the in-game Pet Store and challenging friends or other players to compete in online races for QIE cryptocurrency. Each dog is a unique non-fungible token or NFT on the QI blockchain and cannot be duplicated as is the nature of NFTs. By breeding these 10,000 unique Generation 0 dogs with the 10 original species, users can use an advanced algorithm to create them and obtain dogs with optimal DNA for racing.
Players can buy and sell these dogs on the Hovr NFT Marketplace after imprinting them on Pawsome. Every NFT-minted dog is random, so its element of surprise is always there. Players can’t know if they’re going to get the next Olympic champion or the fat guy who prefers to watch TV. Finding the right breed with the desired attribute is key here.
In a race, the top 3 dogs beating all others earn QIE. Pawsome uses a unique algorithm for breeding and determining race results based on the attributes. So it is advisable to create valuable dogs by breeding the best quality dogs for racing and trading them in the market for a decent profit.
Choosing the Qi blockchain was critical to the success and long-term…
