Consumer Electronics Company Samsung introduced a security system called the Knox Matrix System for its smart devices.
The system seeks to increase security in a multi-device environment, with each smart device monitoring others and sharing credentials to simplify login processes.
The Korean consumer electronics and software maker has announced plans to use a “private blockchain” system to increase the security of its smart devices.

The solution is an overhaul of Samsung’s current security strategy at the recent Samsung Developer Conference.
Though the company provided little information and didn’t go into the inner workings of the system, it said it would connect multiple smart devices, accessible over a network, to improve security through “layered mutual monitoring.”
For example, Samsung states that using a phone in conjunction with a smart device such as a TV or air conditioner protects such items from hacking.
Network & Hardware
Because login status is automatically pushed to devices that need it to join the network, Samsung claims it does Knox Matrix solution helps to speed up registration work throughout the building.
It also protects private data from other networked devices.
The announcement also states that Samsung Knox Matrix will be able to provide a single security SDK [software development kit] regardless of whether the Samsung devices are based on Android, Tizen or other operating systems.
Samsung, which did not disclose the launch date or the characteristics of the system, has been active in integrating hardware security designed specifically for cryptocurrency and blockchain-based ecosystems.
