
Tesla Inc‘s TSLA chairman Elon Muskwho once was praised for restoring internet connectivity in Ukraine via Starlink satellites, is now attracting massive flak to social media, including Ukrainian officials.
What happened: Musk faced backlash on Monday for a provocative tweet when he asked his supporters about the most likely outcome of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

musk surveyed his more than 107 million followers on Twitter to see if they agree with his four thoughts on how Russia and Ukraine would eventually reach a peace deal. In the poll, he said Ukraine’s Crimea territory, which Putin forcibly annexed in 2014, should be permanently handed over to Russia with a permanent water supply. Another said the four Ukrainian regions where Russia held mock referendums last month should be brought to new referendums by the UN. Tesla CEO’s latest proposal to reach peace is: “Ukraine remains neutral.”
Following this tweet, the outgoing Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany said, Andriy Melnyk, Musk replied sharply. “F**k off is my very diplomatic response to you Elon Musk,” he said.

In a separate tweet, Melnyk added that “the only result is that now no Ukrainian will buy your fucking Tesla crap. So good luck to you.”

Musk also drew the wrath of the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyyin response to the Tesla CEO’s tweet posted another poll He asked his followers if they liked a Musk who supported Ukraine or one who supported Russia.
