“I realized that after seven years, my time was up. I loved hosting the show, it was one of my greatest challenges, it was one of my greatest joys,” he said.

Noah said his time on the show included the presidency of donald trumpthe pandemic and “more pandemic”.
The comedian said there’s “another part of my life that I want to explore further,” and mentioned that he’s done stand-up comedy and toured.
Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates congratulated Noah Thursday on his stint at the show.
Gates said he played tennis with Noah in Cape Town and “can’t wait to see” what he does next.

Why it matters: Comedy Central said in a statement regarding Noah’s exit that there is “no timeline for his exit, we are working together on the next steps.” reported The New York Times.
The cable channel reportedly said it was “excited for the next chapter” of The Daily Show. According to the Times, it’s unclear who will replace Noah as the show’s next host.
