HealingMapsan informative search site for psychedelic therapies, announced the closure of a Seed round funding totaling $1 million coming from eight investors inclusive Phyto Partner and Ambria capital.
As part of the investment, Ambria Capital and the managing partner of Phyto have partnered Cody Shandraw will assume the role of CEO for HealingMaps.
That Platform was created with the aim of providing information and education to healthcare professionals and individuals about psychedelics-assisted therapy and how to find qualified providers in their field. Shandraw said its innovative UX “makes it easy for patients to search for services by location and medical specialty, then schedule appointments with just a few clicks.
“This ease of use combined with engaging content will be a major engine for the growth of this thriving new healthcare space,” he concluded.
Managing Partner of Phyto Larry Schnurmacher stated that this investment “aligns with our strategy and thesis that people are increasingly focusing on their mental health just as they are focusing on their physical health.”
HealingMaps CEO Cory Jones is optimistic about the prospect of the new partnership. In his view, mental health is experienced “a seismic shift”, while clinical research shows positive data on the effects of psychedelic compounds.
“As more psychedelic assisted therapy retreats and clinics open around the world, patients need to know which ones to trust and which ones are providing the right services. That’s the value HealingMaps provides by connecting people with state-of-the-art resources so they can make confident decisions about which clinic and treatment is right for them,” concluded Jones.
