KNOXVILLE, Tennessee, Sept. 13, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The Tennessee Advanced Energy Business Council (TAEBC) today released the first episode of Energizing Tennessee, powered by FirstBank – the new number one podcast for news about the advanced energy sector of Tennessee.
In the first episode, entitled “What’s Up With Advanced Energy in Tennessee?” host Cortney Piper, Executive Director of TAEBC, explains what advanced energy is and why it’s so important to the state of Tennessee. Piper discusses the origins of TAEBC and interviews guest of honor Steve Seifried, Tennessee Account Executive for Ameresco and President of the TAEBC Board of Directors, about Ameresco’s role as a leading cleantech integrator and developer of renewable energy assets.
The next five episodes make up a miniseries on electrification of transportation, with senior leaders from the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) and Techstars Industries of the Future Accelerator discussing strategies to electrify the Valley by 2028, as well as local entrepreneurs already contributing to this goal.
Future episodes will feature industry executives from Tennessee’s major auto and advanced energy manufacturers, parts suppliers and the state’s top employers such as Ford, Bridgestone, Volkswagen, Silicon Ranch Corporation and more.
