Former Secretary of State and former First Lady Hillary Clinton has spoken up Donald Trump’s legal issues in a recent interview.
What happened: Clinton’s comments came as she spoke to CNN Dana Bash on the State of the Union.
“I think the rule of law should apply to everyone,” Clinton said meanwhile Looks on the show.
She said: “I know it’s not an easy decision. And that’s why I don’t want to put my opinion into this difficult calculation. Because I don’t know all the facts. And unlike people who jump to conclusions, I don’t want to do that.”
“I truly believe that at the end of the day, no one is above the law and no one should escape responsibility.”

Why it matters: Clinton was asked if Bash should treat Trump like a normal citizen.
She replied, “He’s not the president and we have some special exceptions for someone who’s actually in the office, so I think like any American, if there’s evidence, evidence should be pursued.”
Clinton lost the 2016 presidential election to Trump. In the interview, she addressed her controversial emails and the scrutiny she faced when using a private email server.
“I’ve answered every question I’ve ever been asked. I testified for eleven hours. I was involved in whatever was asked of me to try to answer any possible issues,” Clinton said.
Trump said afterwards on Truth Social on August 8th FBI search of Mar-a-Lago that Clinton was “allowed to delete and acid wash 33,000 emails” after Congress subpoenaed her and nothing “happened to hold her accountable.”
