Irdeto SSAI is a dynamic ad insertion solution that delivers targeted ads to high quality video content in a bufferless viewing experience. It integrates with any ad server to deliver targeted and personalized ads at live events and linear channels. MultiChoice Group is now implementing ad insertion on live television in 25 countries on the African continent.
The new solution enables MultiChoice Group to deliver personalized and targeted advertising based on their profile. By inserting the ads directly into the video content, the MultiChoice Group can move from content to ad and then back to content, providing the same seamless user experience as live TV broadcasts. Each commercial break is personalized and based on the viewer’s information and profile, e.g. B. Viewing history, device, demographics, and geographic location. Once the ads are selected by the ad server, Irdeto SSAI inserts the ad into the content stream before it reaches the viewer’s playback device.
Because the ads are inserted directly into the live stream, latency and buffering are eliminated, ensuring consistently high video quality between the ad and the content, providing a smooth viewing experience. In addition, the solution is able to minimize the impact of ad blocking and eliminate timeouts and black screens during ad playback due to device fragmentation. This results in MultiChoice Group being able to maximize its live addressable ad inventory at scale, leveraging existing ad servers and CSAI (Client Side Ad Insertion) infrastructure.
