ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill., Sept. 08, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Sonoco ThermoSafe, a unit of Sonoco SON one of the world’s largest providers of temperature-resistant packaging, and American Airlines Cargo, a trusted airline partner for transporting high-value, time- and temperature-sensitive shipments, are pleased to announce a global partnership lease for the new Pegasus ULD® Passive Temperature Container for controlled bulk goods.
Sonoco ThermoSafe’s Pegasus ULD® will be added to the airline’s container fleet in the coming months. With a focus on sustainability, the Pegasus ULD® is constructed from composite materials, offering a lighter weight solution that is also significantly more resistant to damage than traditional metal containers. The Pegasus is also the world’s first FAA and EASA approved, advanced, passive, temperature-controlled pharmaceutical ULD container equipped with real-time tracking and temperature measurement capabilities.
