
Apple, Inc AAPL With the Far Out hardware launch event just days away, the rumor mill is working overtime as to what the latest iteration of the company’s flagship iPhone product has in store for users.
Four variants, but no mini: That iPhone Improvements would be modest rather than overwhelming for second straight year, Bloomberg columnist Markus Gurman said in its weekly Power On newsletter.
He expects Apple to announce four variants: two iPhone Pro models and two standard versions. The company will not release an iPhone 14 mini, he added. Here are the screen sizes and model names the Apple author is looking forward to:
- 6.1 inch iPhone 14
- 6.7 inch iPhone 14 Plus
- 6.1 inch iPhone 14 Pro
- 6.7 inch iPhone 14 Pro Max
What’s new in Pro lineups: The regular iPhone 14 models will get some, according to Gurman Camera hardware changes. However, he expects significant upgrades for the Pro line. Features expected for the iPhone 14 Pro include a faster A16 chip, always-on display and a 48-megapixel wide-angle rear camera system, he added.
Gurman also expects some design changes, such as B. a revised notch area for the camera and Face ID sensors for the Pro series. The new notch will consist of hardware cutouts for the front camera, which will feature autofocus for the first time, and upgraded face recognition sensors, he added.
Despite the extra screen real estate freed up by the smaller notch, the status bar is at the top of the screen iPhone probably not much will change, the columnist said.
