Charity tournament features table tennis star Wally Green at Virginia Beach event Sept. 14 and 15, 2012.
/EINPresswire.com/ KETTLER USA will sponsor a Ping Pong for Poverty Charity Tournament on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 14 and 15, 2012 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The annual event will benefit People in Need (PiN) Ministry, a nonprofit service that serves the homeless in Virginia Beach and the surrounding area.
“Our KETTLER team is proud to sponsor an event that will help those who are struggling and homeless,” said Scott Kramer, National Sales Manager Table Tennis of KETTLER USA. “It’s our way of giving back to a community that we have been a part of for many years.”
On Sept. 14, a table tennis exhibition will be held by international table tennis professional and hip-hop artist Wally Green at 1 p.m. at the KETTLER store, located at 4117 Virginia Beach Boulevard in Virginia Beach.
A Celebrity Kick-off, Sing-Off and Auction will take place on Sept. 14 at Corporate Landing Middle School, 1597 Corporate Landing Parkway, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. KETTLER table tennis tables will be auctioned and for sale at the event.
The Ping Pong for Poverty Charity Tournament will take place on Saturday, Sept. 15 at Corporate Landing Middle School, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It is open to all age groups and skill levels, with awards for singles and doubles winners. The cost is $15 per player per event, which includes participation in a minimum of five matches, a table tennis paddle and an event T-shirt.
