Dr. Shirah is originally from Florida, completing his undergraduate degree in biology at Florida State University before attending the College of Dentistry at the University of Florida. After receiving his doctorate in dental medicine, he enlisted in the United States Public Health Service, with whom he served at a tribally-owned northeastern Arizona hospital for Native Americans. Dr. Shirah moved to Austin in 2008, during which time transitioned into private practice.
