The couple had been married eight years, then decided to get a divorce. The husband was in the military prior to meeting his wife, and remained in the military when they were married. The wife, on the other hand, was voluntarily under-employed. She asked for half of the husband’s military disability benefits, all of the assets accumulated during the course of their marriage, and permanent alimony.
