ONLINE SCREEN PRINTER MASTERMINDS A “SMACK DOWN” WAR CAMPAIGN AGAINST CYBERBULLYING

Bootlegaz,an online custom t-shirt and promotional product design company, will spearhead a month-long Anti-Bully campaign.

/EINPresswire.com/ San Jose – No one likes to be bullied, no matter who you are. Whether someone posts hurtful lies about you on the Internet, or an older student steals your lunch money, bullying pierces your very soul.

That is why Bootlegaz Design Studio is taking a stand.

Bootlegaz, a custom t-shirt and promotional product design company, will spearhead a month-long anti-bullying campaign,”SMACK-DOWN BULLY”, featuring a contest for participants to submit their bullying stories. The goal is to not only encourage clients and organizations to take advantage of Bootlegaz’s cheap printing services, but also to urge schools, government, organizations and individuals to unite in preventing bullying and other forms of harassment.

“We want to give back to the community by giving out anti-bullying t-shirts with a message,” says Ndekwe Kelechi E,Bootlegaz co-owner. “We hope this message will encourage everyone to find creative ways to tackle bullying in the classrooms, on the Internet and in the workplace.”

Contestants will sign up on www.bootlegaz.com Facebook fanpage at http://www.facebook.com/bootlegaztees to enter the contest. From there, they’ll follow instructions to submit their bullying or harassment experiences they’ve had at school, college, work or even in the neighborhood. Submitted work will be reviewed and voted on by contest judges and the family and friends of contestants.

The contest is open to all ages and the top 10 winners with the best stories will receive anti-bully personalized t-shirts for free. All contestants will receive a lifetime 15 percent discount off Bootlegaz services when they enter the code on the Facebook fan page. Anti-bully tees will also be available for purchase to the public, and proceeds will be donated to NoBully.com a Northern California anti-bully organization.

Bullying is a big problem that has been linked to school violence. According to the Bureau of Justice School Bullying Statistics, 46 percent of males, and 26 percent of females have engaged in physical fights related to bullying. Additionally, the Cyberbully Research Center say that nearly half of young people have experienced some form of cyberbullying, with 10 to 20 percent of them subjected to it regularly.

Kelechi knows the pain of bullying himself. “I’d skip school because of that,” he recalls. “I pretended to be sick, which I wasn’t, and it effected my grades.”

By sporting the anti-bullying t-shirts, Kelechi hopes the message will ring loud and clear. http://www.bootlegaz.com specializes in online custom screen printed t-shirts, apparel and other promotional items for individuals, government, organizations, schools and businesses that want to add a unique logo to a product or create a lasting impression.
