“A new government research shows that stroke hospitalizations are sharply rising among children and younger adults, especially for men under 35. Although the study doesn’t explore the reasons for the trend, experts point to the obesity epidemic, increasing rates of diabetes and high blood pressure as likely culprits,” reported WebMD. I think obesity and stress of the bad economy are definitely factors in the rising stroke rate. It doesn’t hurt to get a yearly check-up; it could save your life.
