December 24, 2010 — Silverleaf Debt Solutions, a financial assistance law firm, is getting into the giving spirit this holiday season with their “Family Wish Tree”.
The Family Wish Tree program was set up by Silverleaf Debt Solutions in order to help a family in the community during the holiday season. The family is chosen from a list of families provided by the Plano Assistance Center. Employees have a choice to purchase an item that the family has requested specifically or they can make a cash donation, which goes towards the purchase of larger items that the family needs.
A holiday tree has been placed in the lobby of Silverleaf Debt Solutions and the employees will bring their unwrapped gift items and place them under the tree. The company will hold a wrapping party and afterwards the gifts will be taken to the home of the recipient by employees where they will spend time with the family. Silverleaf Debt Solutions will also deliver food to the family provided by the Plano Assistance Center.
Silverleaf Debt Solutions will continue the holiday spirit with a canned food drive through the month of January. Donations will be sent to the North Texas Food Bank.
