Iowa Egg Farm Still Facing Food Safety Problems

Oct 21, 2010 /EIN Presswire/– An Iowa egg farm involved in the national egg recall this summer still has not caught up to speed on food safety, according to federal regulators who issued a warning letter on October 15 to the Wright County Egg facility.

The violations include standing water in manure pits, wild birds in the chicken pens and flies and maggots found in the facility, according to the FDA.

The FDA demanded that Wright County Egg take prompt action to address these problems or that the egg facility could be subject to seizure.
