NEW GLASGOW, NS, November 12, 2022 /CNW/ – Today, the Honorable Sean Fraser, Secretary of State for Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship and Member of Parliament for Central Nova, the Honorable Pat Dunn, Secretary of State for Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage, her adoration, Nancy Dicks, Mayor of the City of New Glasgowand Clyde FraserCity Council for the City of New Glasgow and representatives of the New Glasgow Library Board, announced by $50.9 million in grants for the retrofit and revitalization of the New Glasgow Library.
“These improvements to New Glasgow Library will improve its accessibility for Pictou County’s underserved population, seniors and those with physical disabilities and mobility issues. In addition, the revitalized building will help the community reduce energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions. while providing cleaner indoor air for library users,” said the Honorable Sean Fraser, Secretary of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship and MP for Central Nova, on behalf of the Honorable Dominic LeBlanc, Secretary of Intergovernmental Affairs, Infrastructure and Communities.
