MONTRÉAL, Nov. 08, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Saputo Inc. (we, Saputo or the Company) (TSX: SAP) today announces that it is undertaking further consolidation initiatives to increase its operational efficiencies and competitiveness in Australia to strengthen . As part of the Optimize and Improve Operations pillar of the Company’s Global Strategic Plan, these initiatives include an intention to permanently close the Maffra, Victoria facility. Additionally, while the sites remain operational, the Company will streamline activities at its facilities in Leongatha, Victoria and Mil-Lel, South Australia. Many of the affected manufacturing and packaging functions at these three facilities will be acquired or integrated with the company’s other Australian facilities, increasing capacity utilization and reducing costs.
