In October, the Forsyth Institute hosted its first global innovation forum focused on orthodontics, called the Forsyth Orthodontic Symposium: in memory of Dr. moorrees The International Orthodontic Foundation (IOF) was the proud main sponsor of this event.
The Forsyth Orthodontic Symposium brought together global academic, industry and investment leaders in the same space to foster interaction and accelerate innovation. Mr. Dai Feng and Mr. Donald Huang, Co-Chairman of the Board of Directors of IOF, along with members of the IOF Founding Committee, introduced the organization to the world and shared their insights on the future of orthodontics.
As an emerging foundation, IOF aims to foster innovative research, offer advanced field practices, while preparing clinical professionals through education, research and communication. As Donald Huang pointed out in his speech, the IOF is trying to do this “Help [all] Physicians with their lifelong development of professional skills in orthodontics, no matter where you come from.”

The Forsyth Orthodontic Symposium created a platform that provided both academics and industry professionals with the opportunity for in-depth discussions while bridging differences, which was greatly appreciated by all attendees. In fact, the IOF’s vision to improve orthodontic developments is collaboration, innovation and exchange, which aligns well with the Symposium’s mission. Founded by a group of like-minded and leading orthodontic professionals in North America, Europe and Asia, IOF has continually sought new ways to support orthodontic clinicians.
