MONTREAL, November 5, 2022 /CNW/ – Never forget.
Last November 5, 2021, a sex worker was brutally murdered by her client. You, the unnamed victim, and this horrific crime are now forgotten, but the injustice that is the criminalization of sex work is still alive.
To denounce this sad legal reality and to demand an immediate repeal of all laws prohibiting sex work, an act of civil disobedience is taking place on Fairmount Street in front of Fairmount Bagel.
The ban on sex work threatens the health, safety and lives of these women and we as a society must ask ourselves how we can change these laws.
The sex work laws are a disgrace and to denounce them a trailer full of crap is parked on the sidewalk in front of this famous bakery at noon exactly one year to the day after this murder.
My name is Marc Boris Saint Maurice, I am a customer of the sex industry, I pay a fee for sexual services and therefore I am a criminal. I am the instigator of this action and I take full responsibility and accept the consequences.
If you want to learn more about why I am outraged, you can learn more by reading an excerpt of my story at misterboris.ca
