Uponor society appoints Torsten Meieras an innovation leader

Torsten Meier (M.Sc. (Mech. Eng.)) has been appointed Chief Innovation Officer of Uponor Oyj. He will take up his new role on January 1, 2023. Torsten’s office is in Germany and he reports to the CTO of Uponor Oyj To Thomas Fuhr.

Torsten is moving from the Lixil Group to Uponor, where he has held various management positions since 2013, including at the subsidiary Grohe AG. Most recently, he was Head of Tubing Research and Development at Lixil International. Torsten previously worked for 16 years in management positions at Mercedes-Benz and DaimlerChrysler, where he improved product development, quality management, product design and project management processes.
