Kinarus Therapeutics Holding AG KNRS (“Kinarus”), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing novel therapeutics to treat viral, respiratory and ocular diseases, today reiterated its plans to focus on and re-focus clinical trials in wet age-related macular degeneration and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis align capital resources and funding efforts to advance these programs.
Following the termination of the phase 2 KINETIC study of KIN001 in hospitalized Covid-19 patients, KINARUS is evaluating various financial and strategic options to initiate clinical development of its lead drug candidate KIN001 in intermediate stage wet age-related macular degeneration (wAMD) and idiopathic Pulmonary fibrosis (IPF).
KINFAST, a Phase 2 study of KIN001 in COVID-19 outpatients who are not hospitalized, is ongoing and funded from existing Kinarus resources and the Federal Office of Public Health’s Covid-19 Drugs Program.
