Atlanta, Nov. 03, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — For almost 60 years, the Porsche 911 has been pushed to the extreme both on the race track and on the open road. Now a new chapter is being written; A unique pair of experimental 911 sports cars will be tested where there are no roads, where the air is thin, where the temperature is well below freezing and even plants cannot survive.
A team led by endurance racer and adventurer Romain Dumas set out to push the limits of the 911 and chose one of the toughest places on earth to begin the adventure – on the steep slopes of Ojos del Salado, Chile , the highest volcano in the world.
The first test of the team and the cars has taken place. And as a result, a Porsche 911 was one of the very few vehicles that ever reached such an extreme height.
