ST. PAUL, Min., November 3, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Written by Ameila Stranga seminary graduate,”Sex in Seminary: Dating, Sex and Work for God(published by Archway Publishing) is a collection of fictional dating stories written by would-be ministers who are searching for love in the modern world while embracing the faith.
Shared as journal entries, “Sex in the Seminary” features true dating stories of sorts, “inspired” by dozens of real-life dating seminarians. Strang includes stories told to her over lunch over the years, stories acquired through eavesdropping at the library, and her own personal dating stories. The journal entries are an ode to the dating experience, intimacy and sex.
“I want audiences to be aware of the experiences of single ministers and to look beyond the stereotypes of individual ministers,” Strang says, adding that her book “gives readers a glimpse into the personal lives of individual seminarians and examines how they feel can be isolated and invisible in church culture where celibacy and marriage are expected in the church.”
