STLD announced the selection today Columbus, Mississippi, as the site for the first biocarbon production operations of SDI Biocarbon Solutions, a joint venture between the Company and Aymium. The site is strategically located in close proximity to one of the Company’s largest electric arc furnace steel mills, which will consume a significant portion of the biocarbon as an anthracite substitute, and is also central to abundant fiber feedstock sources. Final determination of site is subject to anticipated receipt of required permits and continued state and local government support.
