Sampo Group Results for January-September 2022
• Group P&C gross written premiums increased 7 percent year-on-year.
• Group’s strong combined ratio of 81.6 percent (80.9).
• The underwriting result increased by 3 percent to EUR 1,009 million (985). Excluding the COVID-19 effects reported in the 2021 comparable period, underwriting profit increased by 13 percent.
• Earnings before taxes were EUR 1,472 million (1,974) and earnings per share were EUR 2.19 (2.74). Excluding all Nordea-related items, profit before tax was 1,212 million euros (1,356).
• The Group’s Solvency II coverage including dividend accrual increased to 238 percent from 185 percent at the end of 2021 and 233 percent at the end of the second quarter.
