The Alliance for Clinical Research Excellence and Safety (ACRES) announced today that the National Academy of Medicine will host a special systems event, SYNERGY 2022, to be held at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine 12-13 December 2022 in Washington, D.C.
BOSTON, November 1, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — SYNERGY 2022 is the third event in a series of “systems thinking” exercises convened by hectares since its inception in 2012 and the most ambitious to date. Together with their partner organizations, the MITER Corporation and Faster cures, ACRES brings together a select group of 60 leaders and innovators from healthcare, business, government, technology, academia and patient groups to apply systems thinking and systems engineering principles to create a new integrated approach to health and science in the United States to design. Our goal is to create a truly enterprise-wide system that leverages advanced technology and analytics to achieve levels of quality, safety, efficiency and effectiveness previously unavailable in healthcare and science.
“Many have come to recognize from their experiences of the COVID-19 pandemic that our current approach to health and science in this country remains fragmented, inefficient and dysfunctional – we speak of a ‘health system’, but we are far from it Target removed,” he said Gregory Koski, PhD, MD, President and Founder of ACRES. “While there are companies with successful systems, such as international aviation and banking, we have not been able to apply systems thinking and design in a similar way to our health sciences company – and the result is a disjointed, inefficient and extremely expensive endeavor Patients not optimally cared for and benefited. We can and must do better.”
