FOX Business Network (FBN) celebrated his 15thth Celebrates seventh consecutive month as the #1 business news company, beating CNBC with a 29% lead in weekday viewership, according to Nielsen Media Research. October also marked FBN’s third-highest rated month ever in Business Day in total viewers, while CNBC delivered its worst-performing month since November 2013 in Total Day in the coveted A25-54 demo. As market volatility continued to make headlines, FBN’s total daily viewership also surpassed CNBC for the first time since November 2018, while the network’s market times recorded its fifth consecutive monthly win over CNBC with 247,000 total viewers, compared to CNBC’s 202,000 viewers, a 22 advantage % for the month.
Larry Kudlow continues to expand his power as television’s number one business show Kudlow (weekdays, 4:00 p.m. ET) posted its 13th consecutive monthly win over CNBC’S closing bell. Averaging 347,000 total viewers, Kudlow once again trampled on the competition, earning an 89% lead over CNBC in total viewership. FBN’s pre-market program Morning with Maria (weekdays, 6am-9am ET) also outperformed CNBC competition averaging 124,000 total viewers versus 101,000 CNBCs and delivered double-digit year-over-year advantages (43% advantage with P2+; 50% advantage with A25-54). . Stuart Varneys Varney & Co. (weekdays, 9am-12pm ET) delivered a 51 percent advantage over CNBC (FBN: 311,000 P2+ vs. CNBC: 206,000 P2+) and outperformed the competition for the eighth straight month. Varney continued to be the second highest rated business news program behind Kudlow for the month.
