The Arizona Animal Welfare League’s 24th Annual Walk To Save Animals returns Saturday 5 November 2022, at Tempe Beach Park. PetMeds® is proud to sponsor the event’s first-ever pet adoption center.
DELRAY BEACH, Fla., October 30, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Walk To Save The Animals, the Arizona Animal Welfare League’s (AAWL) largest annual fundraiser, marks its 24th year. That 5K and 2K Walks, activities, demonstrations and market places take place in the morning Saturday 5 November 2022out 8 a.m. to noon at Tempe Beach Park downtown Tempe, Ariz.
Walk to Save Animals is a pet-friendly and family-friendly event. There will be food trucks, crafts, a marketplace and a puppy kissing booth where attendees can get a cuddle from an adorable rescue dog. Well behaved pets on a leash are welcome. Pet events include an activity play zone, dog training and agility demonstrations, and pictures with Santa.
The event begins with 2K and 5K Walks to raise funds for the shelter’s life-saving programs, including inexpensive veterinary care and behavioral training for pets in need. The first 1000 hikers to register will receive a free t-shirt. Individual hikers who collect the most money have a chance to win additional prizes. For the first time ever, the Walk To Save Animals will also feature an on-site pet adoption center. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet adoptable pets in person.
