LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ, October 29, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Rider University has announced Transforming Students – Transforming Lives: The Campaign for Rider Universitya comprehensive fundraising effort with a goal of 80 million dollars. It is the largest fundraiser in the university’s 157-year history.
president Gregory G Dell‘Omo, Ph.D., told alumni and friends who gathered for the announcement 29 Oct during Homecoming weekend that they were key to the campaign’s success. “This bold undertaking will indeed provide us with resources to continue making a difference in the lives of our students. I couldn’t be happier to celebrate this news with all of you who believe in it like us driver.”
The campaign aims to increase, build up scholarship support riders Foundation, upgrade campus facilities and encourage student success by boosting the Annual Fund.
The university has quietly raised more than $76 million Since the campaign began in 2018, 37 newly-funded grants have been created to meet its overall goal. To date, the campaign has raised 16 donations 1 million dollars or more, including more than 20 million dollars from the board of trustees.
In addition, more than 14,000 donors have supported Changing students – changing lives, including nearly 5,500 first-time donors. The campaign is led by three alumni: Trustee and Campaign Chair Thomas Lynch ’75 and Trustee of the Campaign Vice Chairs Jeanne Mazzotti ’72 and William Rue ’69
During the rest period driver received his greatest gifts to date in scholarship, business, science, technology and athletics, including a 10 million dollars Gift from Norm ’64 & Elaine Brodsky which led to the naming of the Norm Brodsky College of Business in 2019.
The university also received its greatest gift to the sciences, 4 million dollarsout Mike Hennessy ’82.
